The League of Parent Supporters is a 501(c)(3) organization with the purpose of providing assistance and aid in promoting the Navy National Defense Cadet Corps program at Bend Oregon High Schools and to help foster a closer relationship among Parents, Faculty, Cadets, and the Community.
The Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) is modeled on the Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) program, and is provided to schools that do not meet qualifications for the NJROTC program. The primary difference is NNDCC programs do not receive any Department of Defense (DoD) funding. Expenses are primarily funded by the host school and The League of Parent Supporters (LOPS).
Funds raised are used for:
• Travel and Meal expenses for out-of-area competitions.
• Travel and Meal expenses for Social and Orientation trip events.
• Scholarships for continuing education
• Maintaining equipment used by the cadets
• Purchasing of Uniforms and Unit approved clothing
