Carry It Forward

The name "Carry It Forward" is meant to highlight the mutual benefits of direct service to our unhoused neighbors. Our work is designed to reduce suffering by meeting basic human needs while developing a sustainable model for incorporating unhoused individuals in the work of helping themselves and the community.

Casa De Belen

Casa de Belen provides a stable environment for youth to stabilize, stay in school, resolve conflict, learn new self-management skills, connect with safe adults and receive guidance and support while developing a safe exit plan through individual case management. Youth can choose to move towards family re-unification, alternative family living, or pursue self-sufficiency. All services provided are available to youth ages 12-17, are confidential, and free of charge. Casa de Belen is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, licensed by the State of Oregon, as a Child Caring Agency to provide services for homeless, runaway and transitional living youth. We cooperate with all law enforcement agencies. Casa de Belen services are available to all eligible youth in Douglas County regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, religion, sexual orientation or disability. Youth from outside of Douglas County are screened on a case-by-case basis and upon bed availability.
