Northwest Human Services – HOST program

Northwest Human Services is a non-profit providing community health services to the Salem and surrounding areas. BottleDrop funds support our HOST youth program. Our HOST program (Health, Housing, Shelter, Transition), aims to outreach and support transitional-aged homeless youth (18-24 years old). HOST is comprised of two programs, the Resource & Engagement Center and a Transitional Living Program (TLP). The Resource Center provides basic needs (food, laundry, showers, clothing, etc.) and supportive services (case management, transportation, etc.) Monday through Friday. TLP is a multi-phase, commitment based program, offering 14 dedicated youth overnight shelter, intensive case management and skill building, and access to our staff and resources 24 hours/7 days a week. Combined our HOST programs offer a safe space for young people to set goals, plan for their future, and connecting to community resources. Funds raised via the BottleDrop help support our employment training program (Together We Can), healthy activities, incentives, and supports/fees (drivers education, ID's, work clothes, hygiene items, etc.).
